    TAGWELL IS SPREADING THE WORD ABOUT WOMEN’S HEART HEALTH HOSTED BY NYRR! Join us as we support Go Red for Women® According to the American Heart Association “Nearly 80 percent of cardiac events can be prevented, cardiovascular diseases continue to be a woman’s greatest health threat.” The American Heart Association’s signature women’s initiative, Go Red for Women, is a comprehensive platform designed to increase women’s heart health awareness and serve as a catalyst for change to improve the lives of women globally. Be relentless in support of women's health on Friday, February 1, 2019. Panel Experts include: Marwah Abdalla, MD, MPH , Jennifer Sumner, PhD, Sheila Malhotra, is the Co-Founder & COO of TagWell, Ismael Galvez, founder of Terra Medicus Marwah Abdalla, MD, MPH is a clinical cardiologist, cardiac intensivist, and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center. She is the Director of Education for the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and is a full-time faculty member in the Center for Behavioral Cardiovascular Health at Columbia. Her areas of expertise include critical care cardiology and hypertension. Dr. Abdalla is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, and echocardiography. She is also an NIH funded clinical investigator with a research interest in the cardiovascular manifestations of hypertension, assessed by echocardiography and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. Jennifer Sumner, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist and Assistant Professor of Behavioral Medicine at the Center for Behavioral Cardiovascular Health at Columbia University Medical Center. She received her BA from Pomona College and her PhD from Northwestern University. Dr. Sumner focuses on trauma, PTSD and CVD (Cardio Vascular Disease) in women. Sheila Malhotra, is the Co-Founder & COO of TagWell. She is an NYU graduate, mother of three and a serial entrepreneur that has successfully founded and ran multiple businesses. Sheila’s inspiration for TagWell comes from a personal need to have a better quality of life, to unplug and connect with the real world around us. She believes that the three main ingredients to living a happier & healthier life are a good diet, an active lifestyle and a community that provides love and support. In creating TagWell, Sheila mission is to be able to connect people in their community and to engage them in meaningful social, physical and ****** wellness activities that ultimately lead to well-beings. Ismael Galvez, founder of Terra Medicus, which provides workplace Health and Safety training compliance in CPR, First Aid, Automatic External Defibrillator, Basic Life Support, Active Shooter and Bleed Control. Ismael Galvez is a former EMT, Nurse Specialty Trauma Technician he is currently Member of the American Heart Association Advocacy Subcommittee
